On September 10th, Haven's Board of Directors, Green Thumb Club, participants, and garden donors gathered to take a tour of the Walking Path Beautification Project.
In the spring, Haven of Hope put out an appeal for support of our gardening program. The response was huge and generous. So many of you donated gardening items, money, and time to help us spruce up the walking path located around the Center's parking lot. We had two donors generously donate benches for two of the garden areas. We also had the good fortune to have a local Girl Scout, Amanda Goodwin, build a large bench & two Adirondack chairs for our other two garden areas as part of her final Girl Scout project.
On the evening of the 10th, with everyone gathered, we dedicated one of those benches to the memory of Jerry Kerr, loving husband of bench donor and participant, Becky Kerr.
