
Complementary therapies provide patients with a means of expressing their feelings, concerns and anxieties through movement, touch, and sound; providing a holistic approach to healing.
- Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group (held at Jan’s Place)-Bosom Buddies is a support group for Breast Cancer Survivors. It is an on-going, mutual self-help group, and welcomes new members. Its aim is to provide emotional and psychosocial support for one another on the shared journey from diagnosis to healing. This group is co-facilitated by a Licensed Social Worker and Registered Nurse and meets weekly at Jan’s Place on St. Ann’s campus; 495 Cooper Rd, Ste 130, Westerville OH 43081.
- Prostate Support Group-A support group for Prostate Cancer Survivors. Central Ohio Urology Group urologists attend each meeting to present information regarding various aspects of this disease such as side effects from hormone therapy and radiation treatment, erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, nutrition, depression and prostate cancer treatment options after radiation and hormone therapy. Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of the month and alternate between the Columbus Prostate Cancer Center or the Zangmeister Cancer Center in the Board Room on the 3rd floor.
